This network closet was created in the top of the front hall, coat closet. The patch pannel has space for 16 circuits of which 11 positions are currently in use. A Motorola Surfboard cable modem is the connection to Comcast. A Linksys VOIP router provides the office phone connection and a D-Link wireless router supports a WEP wireless network. A D-Link DSS-16+ was a recent $47 acquisition to support the wired network.

Recently, Verizon DSL was added in addition to Comcast. A DSL premise splitter was added and a DSL modem joined the other equipment in the closet. The closet has its own power circuit that is not shared by any other room. The switch in the door frame turns the light on when you open the door.
